Who we are

Open Loop Clips, operated by Franklin Gonzalez, based in Los Angeles, California. We are the data controller for everything described here. Contact: hello@openloopclips.com — our full postal address is available on request.

What we collect

When you use the booking form

The form on our home page asks for:

• your name;
• your email address;
• your podcast name and link;
• how often you publish;
• which platforms you monetise on;
• whether your episodes contain music;
• anything else you choose to write in the message box.

We use it to reply to you and to prepare for the call. We ask about platforms because TikTok pays nothing on clips under 60 seconds, so the answer changes how we cut for you — not because we are profiling you.

When you become a client

• Billing details — your name, email and billing address, held by Stripe. Card numbers go straight to Stripe and never reach us; we see the last four digits and whether the payment worked.
• Your episodes — the audio or video you send us, and the transcripts and clips we produce from it.
• Correspondence — our email threads with you.

When you just visit the site

Nothing that identifies you. There is no analytics package, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, and no cookie set by this site. Our host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies and third-party requests

This site sets no cookies. Two things are worth naming honestly anyway:

• Google Fonts. Our typefaces load from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. We do not receive anything from that request.
• Stripe checkout. If you follow a payment link you leave our site for Stripe's, which sets its own cookies for fraud prevention under Stripe's privacy policy.

Who processes data for us

We keep this list short deliberately. Every one of these is a company that stores some of your data on our behalf:

• Netlify — hosts the site and receives booking form submissions.
• Stripe — payments, subscriptions and billing records.
• Porkbun — forwards mail sent to our domain.
• Brevo — relays email we send from our domain.
• Google — the mailbox our email lands in, and the fonts the site loads.

Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools show us aggregate search statistics. They contain no personal data about individual visitors.

We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or hand it to anyone not on this list — except where the law requires it.

How long we keep things

• Booking enquiries that go nowhere — deleted within 12 months.
• Your episode files — kept while you are a client and for 30 days after you stop, so a late request for a re-cut is still possible. Then deleted. Ask us sooner and we delete them sooner.
• Delivered clips — same 30 days. Keep your own copies; they are yours and we are not a backup service.
• Billing records — kept as long as tax law requires, which is longer than the rest and not something we can shorten on request.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can object to us holding it at all.

Email hello@openloopclips.com. We will reply within 30 days, and we will not ask you why. The only thing we cannot delete on request is billing history we are legally required to keep.

If you are in the UK or EU: our lawful basis is performance of a contract for client data, and legitimate interest for replying to an enquiry you sent us. You have the right to complain to your data protection authority. Your data is processed in the United States by the companies listed above.

Security

Accounts holding your data are protected with two-factor authentication. Payment card data never touches our systems. That said, no service can promise perfect security, and we are a small operation rather than a bank — if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you rather than hope you do not notice.

Children

This service is sold to podcast owners and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and email current clients. We will not quietly add a tracker and revise this page to match.
